Our freezer seems to pop open if you close the bottom door too hard, we have lost a ton of food because it will defrost. We added this and now it locks and cannot be open unless you unlatch it.

It works as it should, I haven't had any problems with it not being sticky enough. It's held strong, and our plump cat hasn't been able to open the freezer door, which is why we had to get a child lock.
